The 2½ year program for graduate mining engineers provides the necessary experience to qualify for the certificates of competency required for becoming statutory mine managers.
Underpinning the growth and development of each graduate is the provision of skills and exposure to many different underground mining methods and environments and the core leadership skills required to effectively manage people and teams.
Also encouraged during employment are additional tertiary qualifications such as MBAs and Masters in Mineral Economics as well as specialist post-graduate intensive development programs.
Barminco graduates receive a highly competitive remuneration package which reflects the academic qualifications and performance standards we expect of our graduates.

Barminco offers students in any year of study access to the Barminco Vacation Work Program. The work is meaningful as trainees participate in a variety of assistant and trainee underground roles.
Applicants are recruited to participate in the summer program and are often invited to return for the winter vacation period.
A great way to join Barminco. Barminco encourages our vacation work students to participate in further vacation work over the course of their degree, with the aim of enlisting into our Graduate Program upon completion of their degree.
We commence recruitment for our Vacation Work Program approximately 8 weeks before the summer vacation period.
