Our award winning Integrated Supply Chain Management System is comprised of internal transport infrastructure, rapid flow warehousing systems and smart purchasing.

To support our value of exceeding our customers’ expectations through the timely delivery of a superior service, Barminco has in place supply chain management systems that enable supplier relationship management to be integrated with our own transport infrastructure, allowing efficient and reliable project support.

This integrated supply management philosophy was recognised by the High Commendation Award at the 2009 Australian Supply Chain and Logistics Awards.

Underpinning Barminco’s supply chain performance are four key areas of focus:

• Supplier: Choosing the right supplier and partner based on Barminco’s established supplier relationship philosophy
• Warehousing systems: Mitigating the risk of stock outs with rapid flow through distribution points and on-site min/max inventory management systems
• Transport: Maintaining in-house transport infrastructure systems for supplying sites with essential supplies and support equipment
• Purchasing: Deploying flexible arrangements to capitalise on volume discounts but maintain flexibility for urgent requirements.

In Australia, Barminco maintains a fleet of trucks, trailers and heavy haulage units. Project delays are minimised, whilst rapid mobilisation of equipment to sites and flexibility to respond to project specific needs are facilitated.
