We believe that value and growth are delivered to our clients by providing an exceptional service that leverages our core competency and experience.
Barminco employees undergo ongoing training on all requirements, processes and procedures relevant to their current and future roles. To support this, Barminco has entered into partnership arrangements with registered training organisations, ensuring that Barminco’s training materials are recognised as a minimum to Australian National Competency Standards.
‘Safety First. Safety Foremost.’
In-house and on-site training: Barminco has in-house training facilities at our Hazelmere Head Office facility in Perth, Western Australia. Initial
inductions and ongoing training and development programs are also
conducted at this facility, as are specific training services for our clients. An equipment simulator is used for up skilling employees prior to training on-site.
Training packages and procedures are regularly reviewed to ensure employees are able to perform their job safely and competently. Site employees are trained in task observations, job safety analysis, risk assessments and inspections, ensuring a safe on-site work environment and minimising unnecessary risks or hazards.
Personal development is encouraged and employees are actively supported to pursue further studies and/or obtain trade qualifications that develop skills for career advancement. Management teams are trained and coached in leadership and mine safety.
Barminco is also heavily committed to training apprentices at our central workshops and on site.
Shane Van Gisbergen, V8 supercar driver for Stone Brothers Racing test driving Barminco’s equipment simulator.
Shane was impressed with how real the simulator was. “It’s fantastic to have something like this that feels so real. When we test our cars our team go through something very similar as it gives us a close sense of reality”.
