Barminco has the capability and fleet to provide customised solutions for long hole, specialist and production drilling applications for underground mining in Australia as well as overseas.
Barminco’s production mining services include production drilling, charging and blasting, and loading and hauling to the surface.
Our production drill rigs are electric-hydraulic or diesel-hydraulic to suit the application and capable of hole sizes from 57mm to 102mm and larger for specialist applications.
- 7-15F Sandvik Solo rigs are fitted with fully automated drilling functionality
- Power extractor units allow jammed rods to be freed and assist in the uncoupling of rods
- Cubex drills enable 760mm slot holes up to 40m in length.
Modern high-tech explosives such as emulsion and electronic detonators are used to ensure optimum fragmentation and minimise ore loss and dilution. Engineers are available for drill and blast design and optimisation.
Tele-remote control loaders are used in the extraction process to ensure personnel are not exposed to hazards and Barminco partners with suppliers of automated loader applications to develop pragmatic and cost-effective solutions.
